The Lumoview team

Behind Lumoview is an interdisciplinary and international team that combines expertise in software and hardware development, architecture, engineering, and digital product development. Together, we are working to make the built environment more sustainable through digitalization and innovation.

Our expertise: different disciplines, one mission

Our expertise comes together across the entire value chain—from the first customer conversation and on-site building capture to the continuous development of the LumoScanner, our building data platform, and the LumoApp for data acquisition.

Our team combines technical, operational, and commercial perspectives. At Lumoview, professionals from information technology, software engineering, physics, mechanical engineering, measurement technology, architecture, urban and regional planning, as well as operations, marketing, sales, finance, and business development work side by side.

This multidisciplinary approach enables us to combine deep technical expertise with practical implementation—from capturing buildings in the field to delivering actionable digital building data.

Our principles: how we work together

Our values shape how we collaborate, make decisions, develop products, support customers, and grow as a team.

We stand for:

  • commitment
  • efficiency
  • teamwork
  • sustainability.

These values come to life through the principles and mindsets that guide our day-to-day work. The following five principles are especially important to how we operate.

Close to customers, not just close to the code

We build products, not features. Our decisions are driven by what customers truly need—not by what may be technically interesting. “Zero distance to customers” is one of our core working principles.

Experiment, learn, improve

We prefer making decisions quickly and adjusting course when needed over endless analysis. Prototypes, small experiments, and the 80/20 mindset are part of how we work. Mistakes are not failures—they are valuable learning opportunities for the entire team.

A startup, not a lifestyle

Our team members have lives outside of work—and we want it to stay that way. We respect family time, personal priorities, and offline time. Mondays and Fridays are meeting-free because meaningful progress requires uninterrupted focus.

Simplicity by design

We reduce complexity wherever possible—in our software, our processes, and our collaboration. Less bureaucracy, less gatekeeping, more speed, and more innovation. This principle applies just as much to our organization as it does to our products.

People over processes

We hire people who strengthen and complement our team, not just fill open roles. We believe in flat hierarchies, distributed decision-making, and a first-name culture. Technical excellence matters, but it never replaces respect, trust, and collaboration.
