Hiring Process: what to expect
We believe in a hiring process that is fast, transparent, and respectful. Our goal is to quickly determine whether we're a good match—without unnecessary waiting times or lengthy decision-making processes.
1. Fast Track Check
Start with our short online questionnaire. We'll assess the key criteria for the role and provide an initial response immediately after completion. If your profile is a good fit, you'll be invited right away to schedule an introductory conversation.
2. Apply via Personio
Alternatively, you can apply through our careers portal. We'll review your application promptly and get back to you as quickly as possible.
3. Introductory Conversation (Approx. 30 Minutes)
In a short video or phone call, we'll get to know each other. We'll discuss your background, your motivation, and the role at Lumoview. Of course, you'll also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
4. Case Study (Approx. 2–3 Hours)
Next, you'll receive a practical assignment related to the role. The exercise typically takes two to three hours to complete and can be worked on flexibly within one week. This gives you a realistic insight into the position while helping us understand how you approach challenges and solve problems.
5. Case Study Presentation & Meeting with Your Future Team Lead (Approx. 60–90 Minutes)
You'll present your results and meet your future Team Lead. This conversation is also an opportunity to gain deeper insights into the role, the team, and how we work together. The meeting can take place remotely or at one of our offices in Berlin or Cologne.
6. Offer
If it's a great fit on both sides, we'll send you an offer shortly afterwards. We'll discuss the final details together and look forward to welcoming you to Lumoview.
Frequently asked questions about working with Lumoview
Yes. We operate as a remote-first company with digital tools and processes designed for distributed collaboration. You can work from home, from one of our offices in Cologne or Berlin, or temporarily from elsewhere within the EU.
Very flexible. We don't have fixed core working hours and trust you to decide when you're most productive. Mondays and Fridays are intentionally meeting-free to help protect focus time and deep work.
We review each case individually. Feel free to mention your preferred working hours in your application or discuss them during the introductory conversation. We're happy to explore what might work for both sides.
English is our primary working language and is required for all roles. Depending on the position—particularly customer-facing roles—German language skills may also be required.
Absolutely. For unsolicited applications, we ask that you already have a concrete idea for an internship project or thesis topic at Lumoview. Please include your proposed topic, preferred timeframe, and CV. We'll review your proposal internally and assess whether and how we can support it together.
